Turmequé is a small but charming Colombian municipality located in the province of Márquez, in the department of Boyacá. It is home to a public institution (Turmequé Technical and Industrial Educational Institution) responsible for educating children in early childhood. Like many other schools and institutions, it lacks the resources to provide comprehensive digital education.
During the first few days of February, SiembraTic, with the help of its collaborators, donated a TV to give teachers more and better resources to help them teach their students in a more up-to-date and educational way.
So far, this TV has been used by fifth-grade students and their teacher, Olga Maritza Pulido Bernal. However, the foundation will continue working to ensure that all children can benefit and that the digital divide that separates them from other children in the most remote areas of the country narrows.
