Closing the Digital Divide in Colombia

February 23, 2022 Communications Comments Off

In Turmequé, a small yet charming municipality in Colombia’s Boyacá region, many schools lack the resources to provide a comprehensive digital education. Recognizing this need, SiembraTIC donated a television to the Turmequé Industrial Technical Education Institution, helping educators teach in more modern and engaging ways.

During the first days of February, SiembraTic, with the help of its collaborators, donated a TV to give teachers more and better means to help them teach their students in a more current and didactic way.

The donation has already benefited fifth-grade students and their teacher, Olga Maritza Pulido Bernal. SiembraTIC remains committed to ensuring more children benefit from initiatives like this, closing the digital divide for students in Colombia’s most remote regions.
