An unforgettable experience

For many of the children, it was their first time leaving their hometown. Their enthusiasm was evident: they wanted to learn how networks, cables, and the tools that make it possible to connect to the internet, the one they use every day, work.

During the day, Edgar Torres, Network Director IMS and Iván Serrano, Project Manager, they explained to them in a simple way how the optical fiber connects Colombian homes and why technology is key to the country's development.

The children's curiosity filled the room with questions and laughter. One of the most special moments was when they realized that, behind every connection, there are people working to bring education and knowledge to every corner of the country.

For Olga Pulido, her accompanying teacher, the experience had a profound meaning:

“For these children, it's a wonderful experience. Some have never left their hometown, and coming to a company like this opens their minds and hearts. Knowing that there are people who once dreamed of the same thing as them gives them hope. These experiences leave a positive mark on both them and me.”
